Hi, I’m Shaha, I thought I should tell you the story from my perspective.

Our story begins in 2020 when I decided to go gluten & dairy free as a way to improve my health naturally. At a time when everything in the world was on pause, it was an opportunity to finally stop being distracted and look within. How could I become the healthiest version of myself?

It took about a few months to feel results, but by then I knew I couldn’t go back. I had minimal bloating, an insane amount of energy and it gave me a new sense of creativity in the kitchen.

Now I strongly believe there are two types of people in the world, those that eat to live, and those that live to eat. I am the latter, which made the transition all the more difficult. I tried every brand that was readily available to me, but nothing hit the spot. All I wanted was fresh bread from a bakery, I wanted the warmth of the toast, the crunchiness of the outer layer and the soft pillowy inside. You just couldn’t get that from superficial supermarket bread.

Thankfully my mother had already been gluten free for years prior, so together we began creating recipes that were satisfying (and didn’t taste like compromise).

What started as a necessity quickly turned into a passion. We began sharing our gluten-free creations with family and friends, who were so impressed they begged us to open a shop.

Now I knew that people wanted something a bit more stable than my household deliveries. That’s how we got here – a few jobs and a baking degree later, Gluten Free Collective was born 🙂

Today, we’re proud to share our delicious, gluten-free products with a broader community, helping others enjoy the benefits of gluten-free living without sacrificing flavor.
